In a ceremony hosted by 2008 BBC Apprentice finalist Claire Young, the newly revamped House of Fraser was voted the Best Department Store and also won the Retailer of the Year category.



Luxury cupcake creators Fancie were the Best Independent Retailer.



Topshop and Topman came top in the female and male fashion categories, while Nandos was the Best Food Outlet, Boots was the Best Health and Beauty Retailer and Schuh the Best Footwear Retailer .



Other specialist winners included Pandora for Best Gifts and Treats and Best Customer Service, Ted Baker for Best Window Display and GO Pizza for Best PR.



Meadowhall centre director Darren Pearce north face breast cancer said: "2011 has been a great year so far for Meadowhall with both new and existing retailers performing well and we enjoyed acknowledging the hard work of the staff in our stores and celebrating together before the busy Christmas period begins."



More than 250 guests attended the awards ceremony at the Mercure Sheffield St Paul's Hotel in the city centre.
