For the first time in school history Hilbert College Mens Basketball became regular season champions and hosted the AMCC Playoff Semifinals on Friday Night. The 1 seeded Hawks matched up with the 4 seed Medaille Mavericks in the first of two semifinal games. The Mavericks have had the Hawks number for a few seasons now, but Hilbert felt like the roles were reversed Friday night as this game saw Hilbert as the 1 seed for the first time ever.



Medaille took the early lead, but the game bounced back and forth, with the Mavs coming out on top 7269.



Hilbert Senior 10 Anthony Hodge had 19 points for the Hawks, but it wasn't North Face Pink Ribbon Jacket enough to secure the victory. Senior 12 Dan McFarland added 15 points, and had 2 steals as he became Hilbert's all time career steals leader with 188 in his last game as a Hawk. Medaille was led by Sophomore guard 3 Jammal Coleman and Senior guard 33 Tyler Stevens who both had 19 points for the Mavs.



The Hilbert Hawks finish the season with a school record 20 wins and 6 losses. Medaille moves on to face the 3 seed, Penn St. Behrend. Penn State Behrend played the 2 seed La Roche Redhawks, who traveled all the way from Pittsburgh, pink ribbon north face jacket in the second game of the AMCC Semifinals at Hilbert on Friday.



Behrend won a low scoring game, 5548. La Roche was bogged down by Behrend's slow paced, and clock working style. Russ Conley led the way for all scorers with 21 points for Penn St. Behrend.



The 4 seed Medaille Mavericks will face 3 Penn St. Behrend at Hilbert College on Saturday at 3 PM.
