We provide a wide range of birth services which include childbirth classes, hospital labor support, monitrice services, birth stool rentals, waterbirth tub & pool rentals and placenta encapsulation.

Prenatal reflexology, nutrition counseling & herbal consultations are offered to mothers seeking a comprehensive, holistic approach to pregnancy & birth.  We specialize in working with moms suffering from PPD/PNI (Postpartum Depression / Postnatal Illness) & NVP (Nausea & Vomiting of Pregnancy) which can vary in intensity from mild morning sickness to hyperemesis gravidarum.  

Birth options consulting is also available for families considering homebirth, freebirth or Zion birth.  Our services are tailored to your unique needs, desires & birth plan.  At Birth Essentials we promote the Trust Birth Initiative, the Midwifery Model & Family-Centered Maternity Care and Biological Nurturing.  If you don't see what you are looking for listed on the left sidebar, please let us know.  We may be able to accommodate your needs or refer you to a practitioner, care provider or attendant who is better able to assist you.

In IL, we serve families in northern, NW & western Chicagoland including Lake, McHenry, and parts of Cook, Dupage & Kane Counties.


In WI, we serve families in Kenosha, Racine, Lake Geneva & the Milwaukee metro area.


Note on Fees:

Our philosophy at Birth Essentials is that all mothers deserve to have a positive pregnancy, birth & postpartum experience regarless of socio-economic status.  Therefore we don't post the majority of the fees for our services.  We maintain an open policy to work with our community by offering:
